Sunday 26th June

Day off!! So had the compulsory lie in! Went for a walk, came back and read books. Then went on a shopping trip, which I left early to see my cousin. We had coffee at Jellyhill, which gives you free jelly beans!! After hours of chatting I returned to halls for dinner, and a fair number of laughs!!

Saturday 25th June

A nice short day as saturdays are half days! It started with disaster as the rear windscreen of the minibus shattered!! However we got going with our late start. Pete and I had a nice day with plenty of fields, oh except for one where they were constructing a new motorway through it!! Anyway we made it in one piece, and got home for a lazy  afternoon. We then had a girl party, which the boys invaded and went out on the town in glasgow!

Friday 24th June

With Imogen today for a lovely walk along the canal. We had a nice leisurely day in the sunshine, and finished in time for an ice cream and a pub finish -where everyone joined us!! We went out for a meal in the evening.

Thursday 23rd June

We had a lovely sunny day except for the odd shower so we were in shorts most of the day!! I was with Tavy, and we had alot of nice chats and alot of beeps, mainly from passing lorries! (now a new game of ours to tally it up!!). We had a pub finish with another pair joining us. Got back early. I cooked risotto for everyone.

Wednesday 22nd June

In the field with Judith today!! We got done very quickly, with a good field gossip, catching up after a whole year!! And had a cheesy chip finish :)

Tuesday 21st June

A rainy day in the field with Liam. We had a view over Loch Lomond until the clouds descended. And then we waited as he had broken the Auger. However it was very fun, collected 15 soils and finished the day with the traditional tea club!

Monday 20th June

My first day in the field, with a full day!! We hopped fences, took samples and revised everything i know about soils!! We had many questions about if we were digging for oil...Finished the day with a birthday party, an indoor BBQ with pass the parcel and High-Viz candles!!

Sunday 19th June

Got up early, and got the train. From Bristol to Glasgow is a 7 hour journey. Used the train journey to look through photos, read and call people. There was a welcoming comittee for me at the station. Got to our accomodation, my home for the next month. It's G-Base time!!

Saturday 18th June

Our last day in portugal - we tidied the villa, got rid of the bottles and left for a cafe. We got big breakfasts and waited for the taxi to the airport. Flew home, found disasters in the house, finished packing and slept in the bare room for the last time.

Friday 17th June

A nice lazy day spent reading by the pool, topped off with a bbq and jumping photos!!

Thursday 16th June

Today we went to the slide and splash water park! Spent the entire day going down a variety of slides, and landing with our feet above our heads!! And had the evening out...

Wednesday 15th June

Today we went into Albufiera, explored the town and the beach. Hired pedalos and got ice creams. Had a lovely meal out, and watched a lunar eclipse...

Tuesday 14th June

We went on a long walk down the coast and round to the marina, followed by time in the pool during the heat of the day!

Went out to the marina for dinner, watching the sunset round the headland.
